Editor's Notes
This is the argan oil treatment that helped bring oil-based hair care into the mainstream over a decade ago. It comes in a dark amber glass bottle with a pump dispenser, and the formula itself is a golden, silky oil with a signature vanilla-amber scent that some people love and others find too strong.
The use case is straightforward: a few pumps worked through damp hair before blow-drying tames frizz and speeds up drying time, while a small amount on dry ends adds gloss and separation without greasiness. It's particularly useful for anyone with color-treated, coarse, or chemically processed hair that needs regular moisture maintenance. Fine hair types can use it sparingly on ends only.
The tradeoff is the scent, which lingers and may clash with your fragrance. It also contains silicones, which some curl communities avoid but which give this treatment its signature slip and shine. If you want argan oil benefits in an unscented or silicone-free formula, you'll need to look elsewhere, but this version delivers consistent results for smoothing and shine.
