Editor's Notes
The Rigby is Carhartt's take on a cargo pant that doesn't sacrifice mobility for toughness. The Rugged Flex fabric gives you about 5% stretch, which sounds modest but makes a real difference when you're crouching, climbing, or just getting through a long day on your feet. The fit sits somewhere between a traditional work pant and a modern casual cut, neither baggy nor slim.
These earn their place in rotations for tradespeople, warehouse workers, and anyone whose weekends involve projects that wreck regular pants. The cargo pockets are functional without being oversized, and the reinforced knees add longevity in high-wear zones. You get the durability Carhartt is known for in a silhouette that works beyond the job site.
One honest tradeoff: the stretch fabric won't hold up quite as long as Carhartt's traditional duck canvas in extreme abrasion scenarios, but most people will find the comfort-durability balance hits the right spot for everyday hard use.
