Editor's Notes
The Ridge is a metal-framed cardholder built around an elastic band that secures a stack of 4-12 cards between two rigid plates. It's designed for front-pocket carry, eliminating the bulk and back-pocket discomfort of a traditional leather wallet. The elastic expands as you add cards, and an integrated money clip handles cash when you need it.
This works best for someone who's already streamlined what they carry—a driver's license, a couple of credit cards, maybe an insurance card. If you regularly need quick access to a dozen different membership cards or prefer the organization of multiple billfold slots, the single-stack design can feel limiting. But for minimal daily carry, it delivers on the promise of a slimmer profile.
The aluminum and carbon fiber versions hold up well to daily pocket friction. The RFID-blocking feature is standard across models. It's a straightforward trade: you give up the flexibility of a traditional wallet's layout in exchange for something that disappears into a front pocket.
