Editor's Notes
The Air Force 1 '07 is Nike's leather low-top in its most straightforward form: smooth upper, perforated toe box, and the signature Air cushioning underfoot that made the original a basketball court staple four decades ago. Today it's strictly a lifestyle sneaker, and that's exactly the point.
It fits into rotation as the go-anywhere option that doesn't demand much styling effort. Wear it to the gym, the grocery store, or a casual dinner, and it reads as intentional without trying too hard. The leather breaks in over time, so early stiffness around the ankle collar is typical and softens with wear.
The tradeoff is weight and breathability. This is a chunky, structured shoe that runs warm in summer and feels substantial on foot compared to knit runners or canvas slip-ons. But for guys who want one durable sneaker that looks clean with most of what's already in the closet, the AF1 keeps earning its place.
