Editor's Notes
These are flat, fabric-covered resistance bands that come in five color-coded resistance levels, from light to extra-heavy. Unlike latex tubes with handles, loops wrap around thighs, ankles, or forearms to add targeted resistance to squats, lunges, lateral walks, and shoulder mobility drills. They're popular for activation work before a session and for adding difficulty to glute-focused movements without needing a cable stack.
The fabric construction means they're less likely to roll or snap compared to thin latex bands, and they grip skin or athletic wear without sliding around mid-set. That said, they're not a replacement for heavy free weights or machines when you're chasing serious strength gains. They shine in warm-up circuits, rehab protocols, and travel routines where you need something that folds flat and weighs almost nothing.
The lightest band in the set can feel too easy for anyone with a strength training base, but the heavier options provide enough tension for glute bridges and banded pull-aparts to feel genuinely challenging. The set gives you room to scale resistance as movements get easier or fatigue sets in.
