Editor's Notes
These are minimalist lifting gloves built around thick neoprene pads that sit across the palm where the bar makes contact. Unlike full-finger gym gloves, the open-back design keeps your hands cooler and gives you more direct feel on the bar while still cushioning against friction and pressure during deadlifts, rows, and overhead presses.
They work well for lifters who've moved past bare-hand training but don't want the hand-wrapping ritual of straps or the sweaty enclosure of traditional gloves. The pads stay put with a simple wrist strap and finger loops, making them quick to put on between sets.
The tradeoff is specificity: these shine during barbell and dumbbell movements but offer less protection than a full glove during activities that stress the entire hand. They're a focused tool for a specific friction point rather than all-purpose hand coverage, which makes them ideal for strength-focused training sessions where callus management matters but you still want tactile feedback on the weight.
